feeling guilty about hiding friend on FB

I just had to hide a friend on Facebook. His political commentary updates were making me so mad I think it might affect our friendship. We see the world in a completely different way but are still friends in spite of our drastically different world views. I just don't want to have to read his bs every day. Is that terrible?

I've thought about doing this.  I also have some work friends who are BSC over Jesus and every status update is preaching.  I can't take it any longer!!

I've had to do this to a couple family members because of the same thing.  They don't know they're hidden so I don't feel bad at all!

No. I've almost de-friended people b/c of that reason. Election time was veeerrrry long. I think hiding him is perfectly fine if you like him otherwise.

i did this to my SIL and it's help me to be able to look her in the eye when I have to see her.  No guilt here!

I had a friend who votes for the same party that I do and I still hid him.  I just didn't want to hear the constant criticism all the time.
