DH Wants to...

in 2nd Trimester

Put a digital camera (We lost ours while away on our honeymoon) on our registry.

His plans for this, of course, are to take millions of pictures of our LO.

What do you think?

    I've seen it done, but I am not a huge fan of the idea. ?If you want a new digital camera, I guess there is no harm in asking for one! ? ( If I was going to be buying something for your registry, I would go for a baby item though, and older family members might think it a bit odd and maybe even selfish, even though it really is for your baby)

    It's really your decision!?

    I see why you'd want to, and I don't think I would frown upon this on a registry... but ?I probably wouldn't buy it either.?

    I say go for it - then if you don't get it you can probably use the completion discount on it.

    All valid points!  I didn't want to appear rude but I think most people would see why someone would put that on a registry, even though they might not buy it - at least then I can appease DH and we'll have the completion coupon if it's not purchased.

    Personally I would not. ?I would only put the necessary stuff your on your baby registry.

    I just recently bought a new digital camera(i.e 2 weeks ago. LOL) but I totally have a digital video camera on my registry. I know of only one rel who MIGHT get it for me, but I mostly put it on there so I wouldn't forget and could get one later. LOL

    it's actually a good idea. you definitely need a camera with a baby!

    Put it on, you never know who might buy it, or if a group of friends/coworkers/family members might pitch in together and buy it for you.  In my opinion, it's every bit as "necessary" for a new baby as half of the gadgets we put on registries anyway!
