DH and I are really trying to work on a list of names for our LO.

Tell me which ones you like and which ones you hate.

Sawyer (middlename) Weldon

Alexander (middlename) Weldon (Alex for short)

DH suggested Alexander as a middle name. It's the first thing he's suggested seriously, and he really likes it. Be honest with your opinions!?

I'd say Sawyer Alexander. It seems less common than the others, for now anyway.

DS2's mn is Alexander, so I may be a bit biased : )

My one concern is that Ethan rhymes with our last name. Our last name is pronounced Wel-din, with an emphasis on the first syllable. I feel like it rhymes.

I love Sawyer, but Ethan is a yawn to me, I know sooo many little Ethans! I love Alexander as a first name better than all the options though.

My total fave is Sawyer. I think it sounds good and it is not crazy popular, but not "out there" either. Great pick!

It also sounds really good with Alexander by the way.

Oooooh, fun tidbit, his initial for Sawyer Alexander Weldon would be SAW - a possible casual nickname for him. I love stuff like that.?

I like Sawyer Alexander the best.  Ethan is "too popular" for me.  Just know he will be Ethan W. at some point

i'm not too fond of sawyer. it sounds like a last name.

looooove ethan. i want to name my son that but it's my cousin's name.

elijah and alexander is great, too. however, you have to think of the nicknames. most likely, by the time he gets to school his classmates will start calling him by eli or alex. personally, i like eli better.

Ethan = overdone, IMO.  I think it was maybe the most popular boy's name in the country last year?

Sawyer is okay, NMS, but I like it.

Elijah is my favorite on your list.  I think Alexander is a nice MN.

Ethan is my favorite that's what we would be using if DH's cousin's little boy wasn't named Ethan!

My favorites are Alexander and Elijah.  I can't use Elijah (cousin's little boy's name) and DH vetoed my use of Alexandra for our little girl...
