verizon customers-please rec. your phone

I'm due for an upgrade and cannot decide what to get.  I'm read some of the reviews online but I am overwhelmed.  We do not have a land line and whatever we get I am stuck with for at least 2 years.  Even if you can't rec. your phone because you don't like it, please tell me what you don't like.  Thanks!

Re: verizon customers-please rec. your phone

  • What are you looking to use it for? Just talking? Internet? Music?  Touch screen? Can you tell what I do every for a living? I think one of the most popular phones we have right now is the EnV Touch. The battery life on it isn't the best but otherwise most people love it. It's prob. the one I'm getting soon. Some of my co-workers have it or the EnV 3 and like them. The Blackberries are always popular (Curve mostly. Storm is ok but people complain about the touch screen) but you have to have a seperate data package.

  • I got an EnV 3 2 weeks ago and love it!  I don't need the touch, so I opted to go a step down.  I'm a teacher, so I am NEVER on my cell phone during the school day and don't need internet or anything.  I had an EnV before and like this version even better!

  • I upgraded to the EnV3 a few months ago and I love it.  I love the mini keyboard on the inside.  The phone is very user friendly.
  • Mostly need it for talking.  I do need one that has an alarm and can take pictures.  I would love to have a phone that has a calendar/planner feature that is easy to use.  I love the blackberry curve but I'm hesitant to get it because I'm not thrilled that you have to get a more expensive plan.
  • This site was reacommended to me by my BIL who has workd for Verizon for years now:

BTW...I have a Palm Centro 690 & it has everything you are looking for.  I liked it initially because of the calendar/ planner and the fact that I don't need a data plan for it.   I have been very happy with the Centro & have been using it since last December.

  • I would prob. suggest the EnV 3. The Alias 2 might be a good option as well.  Both will do all the things you want w/out having to add any unneeded features like the blackberry data plan.

The EnV3 has an alarm and also a calendar/planner.  It also has a great camera.  The pictures are so clear.
