how long where you able to last until you moved into maternity clothes?  I am only 5+ wks but totally bloated.  I have plenty of regular clothes that still fit comfortably, but I am hoping to make it until 13 wks until I tell most people.  Not sure if I will make it that long without transitioning to maternity clothes.  I think I was 17 wks with #1 and 12 wks with #2 when I had to make the switch.

I made the switch around 20 weeks with each one but I carry really high and small.

It was about the same both times.  I moved into mat jeans before shirts because they were more comfortable.  It wasn't obvious to others until around 16-18 wks.

I lost 10 pounds right before I got pregnant the second time, so my regular clothes were roomy and bought me some time...which worked out well because I didn't want to tell work until I was much farther along.  I started wearing maternity pants around 12 weeks but with longer, regular tops to try to hide things. It was about 16 weeks when I told work and went to full maternity clothes.

Congratulations!

DD1- I was in mat pants at 7-8 weeks.

DD2 - I was a SAHM, so I wore yoga/stretchy pants immediatly.

I am hoping with the next to wait until 8-12 weeks to tell anyone....

I started wearing maternity clothes around the same time with all three kiddos...8-9 wks

Thanks for all the congrats, ladies!  It's still sinking in for us  Also, we're still very cautiously optimistic after 2 previous m/c.  But, this time I do have lots of pg symptoms (never had with my m/c pgs) so I am hoping this little bean will stick!!!

Glad to see some of you did start wearing maternity clothes early.  So, it's not just me who is getting fat so soon  Next week we'll be in Hawaii so I will be living in my swim suit- that'll be comfy and I won't have to hide anything

I started using the belly sleeve early on, but was showing much earlier 2nd time around. Do what makes you comfortable.

With #2, I was in maternity around 10 weeks.  With #3, I was in maternity around 7-8 weeks.  With #4, I was in maternity by like 6 weeks, LOL!!

I was about 20 weeks w/ #1 and maybe 18-19 weeks w/ #2. (Full time, all-out maternity, I mean.  I was mixing loose tops and stuff earlier w/ #2.)
