What kind of shoes do you buy for your toddler? I want to get one really good, nice pair of shoes for her to wear everyday.
We have tried Stride Rite, but the last ones we bought we were not that impressed with how they held up. I think the $12 ones from Target held up better. I want something that gives her good support and goes with a lot of different outfits. TIA!
Re: What kind of shoes for DD??
I'm not a fan of SR's either. A woman I know owns a shoe store and she doesn't even carry them any more. As they are waaaaaay overpriced for what you get. She said if you find them on super-clearance for $15 that's fine. But never ever to pay more than 20. They're made by Payless and they're basically Payless quality.
My mom got DD 2 pairs of SRs without knowin gthis. One fell apart almost immediately. The other was so stiff she can't stand wearing them.
Anyway, the shoe friend always recommends Pedipeds as a great shoe in the mid-price range. The Flex ones last a long time because of the removable insole. She said See Kai Run soes are ok, too. Jack and Lily's are good, and the Robeez Tredz aren't so bad either.
We've had the best luck with Pedipeds, though. DD loves wearing them.
Robeez Tredz are pretty darn good shoes. They have the cuteness & quality of Robeez, but can be worn outside, cuz they have hard soles. Here are a few:

I don't like SR's, either.
It's warm here, so I usually have a pair of tennies (all Nikes so far) and a dressy sandal. Not much help, sorry.
