Ouch, my poor little Max. TMI - but can anyone help?

Constipation has made his poor little hiney bleed a bit tonight.  We are doing prune juice, the "P" fruits (and veggies), and more water.  What else is there?  He was screaming in pain - I did the old rectal thermometer trick but I feel like this will never end.  I hadn't seen blood before either.   I put A&D on it but should I be doing more to treat?

The thermometer could have scratched him on the inside?  Give him a suppository.  You will have instant poop andhe will feel so much better.

I keep the baby gerber pear juice for when they are constipated. I give half the little bottle to half a cup of water. Usually when they are on the second cup, it works.

Ditto on the supository. It's gross, but it will do the trick if none of that stuff is working.

Does the suppository stimulate them to go, or just soften it all up?  So I can do that but then what will make this problem go away to begin with?

The glycerin suppositories are like magic....I think it worked in 30 seconds for DS.  (Be prepared) You may want to talk to your Pedi about using Miralax for a few days to make sure he gets back to normal. Poor fellow...hope he feels better soon!
