You don't HAVE to... it's not like the way they make sure your car seat is installed correctly or they won't let you leave. They're not checking for your Baby Class Diploma. Do whatever you want!
No, it is not required. It's probably a good idea to at least buy a book or something like that, so you have a basic understanding of what labor and delivery are like
Baby's gonna come out no matter how many breathing techniques you learn.
Do I plan to do classes. Hell yes. I like to be prepared and know what I'm talking about.
My Dr. said in his experience, 3000 births, that the mothers who have been clamest and had the least stressful births were those who took classes because they understood what was going on.
i'm not taking one...i know its gonna be painful and i know the process of the baby coming out, i'd rather not have the details and just take it as it comes.
We did last time. I think we learned sooooo much. The class itself was kind of boring, but when the time came, I really appreciated what we learned. Our class did a lot on baby care and that helped immensely. I'd def recommend it!
I took my first class, which was just an intro to the class and then was put on strict bedrest for 10 weeks...so I never went again. I did just fine during L&D, no classes needed!
