Does anyone else find that the carseat doesnt sit snug and tight when installed? I have a Ford Edge and have it installed with the latches and the seatbelt bc feel it is not tight enough.......everything is as tight as it can be. Is this normal? TIA!

Ours is tight in a sienna, a chevy truck and also was in a saturn.  DH is a fireman and he installed it.  Maybe have yours checked?

No problems here - we've gotten it tight in an Altima, Mercury Mountaineer, and a BMW X5.  I have a hard time getting it tight but my DH can get it in there no problems. 

 

I agree with PP, try to have it checked by a certified carseat person.  I'm thinking you're not supposed to use LATCH and the seatbelt at the same time, so they could help you get it tight!

dh was able to get it tightened. he had to kneel in it to get get snug! thanks! Having it checked tom as well!

once dh got it tightened he took the belt off, so its just installed with latch system, thanks!

When we had our infant seat, I took it to the police dept. to have it installed and the police officer told me to kneel or sit on the seat to get it tight enough.  With our Triumph, I litterally sit in the seat and pull the belt on the latch tight.  It seems to be the only way I can pull at the right angle and get a tight latch.
