if it's a possible molar or ectopic pregnancy if your hcg levels are higher than normal? A friend of mine is ku and had some bleeding today, she also has no symptoms of pregnancy and is worried. They did bw on her today and said her hcg was through the roof for her lmp. They said she's either having twins or something may be wrong. She goes for an u/s on Monday, but I was curious after she started talking about it..... Anyone know?

ectopic pgs tend to have lower hcg numbers and molars tend to have higher.

the bleeding can be totally normal.  so can the no signs and symptoms.  how far along is she?  glad she is getting an u/s to see what's going on.

molar is high levels. ectopic is low levels.

thanks girls. I couldn't remember which way it was....

She said according to her last cycle she thought she was 5 wks and according to her bw she was atleast 7, they said possibly 8wks.

She knows I had a m/c (blighted ovum, but she didn't know the details) and was asking if I knew what could be wrong since they told her it could either be twins or a complication. I don't think I should say anything though. I don't want her to panic.
