A theme for my kids Halloween costumes?

DD1 will wear anything as long as I can pass it off as some sort of princess dress. DS wants to be something scary/masculine- ex: knight, skeleton. (something with a weapon preferably, lol)  And obviously DD2 has no opinion, but I want I want her to look cute of course.  Is there any sort of common theme or coordinating costumes you can think of??
