Starting Clomid?!?

Hey everyone,  I'm new to the boards, so sorry if this is a thread anywhere else. I am about to start my first round of clomid this month. First I have to take provera just to get my period started. I am really scared and excited. I was wondering if anyone has had success on 50mg of clomid the first couple rounds? Also, besides mood swings, what other symptoms might I have when I take the clomid. Any advice would be awesome! Thanks

hi - scroll back a few pages, people ask this question all the time. 

the side effects really vary from person to person, some people have the "clomid crazies" and other people don't notice a thing.  you can be on the look out for hot flashes, night sweats, headache, and fatigue... and i'm sure i'm forgetting others. 

responding to 50mg can also vary big time person to person.  some people need 150 (or even 200) while others respond right away.  can't really predict it - you just have to try it and see what happens!

Hi there - we did a few rounds of clomid.  If you want success stories you are more likely to xp this on SAIF.  I did have night sweats on clomid as well.  I wanted to pipe in and ask if you are being monitored with u/s and b/w.  Without being monitored there is a risk for too many eggs being fertilized and high order multiples.  During the u/s they see how many follicles they are and how big they are which can be indicative of number of eggs (based on the number of mature follicles).  GL to you and I agree with pp, there is usually a post every page on Clomid.  Hope it does the trick for you!
