FRIEND VENT :Why do I even try to help?

Okay so my friend has an easy just very low paying job. She work in a hospital taking meds to patients rooms. I make more in a day than she makes in 4 days. Anyway. SHe has been complaining that she wants a new job ect... Well guess what my office is hiring. I told her and she came in and talked with the Dr for an interview. He is willing to pay her $12.00 an hour(remember she has NOOO experience) the only thing is she will have to stay late (6:00 we close at 5 she would just be answering the phone) and work one Saturday a month. And guess what she turned the job down. She really doesn t want to work 4 days a week, or Saturdays!!! Hello you have No money and your husband has NO job cause he is to dang lazy to go out and look for one and you are turning down a job with more pay and less work than you do now. Anyway I look like a fool now for getting her an interview. Because DR is wanting to know if he offended her or what the problem was.... URGH I will never do this again!!!!

thats why dh does not like to help people get jobs with him - he does not want to be associated with flakiness. sorry - that does suck. tell her next time to stfu if she complains about money.

that sucks i would have taken the job if i was her! more pay and experience in the job! its so nice of you to try and help her.. but i guess she doesnt want any help?!?! i would be pissed too if i was you!

What a nice friend.

Did she really say she didn't want to work Saturdays? That is rediculous. It's one Sat a month. I'd answer the phones 4 days a week and one sat a month for $12 an hour if that's more than what I made at my current job!  She should have taken it.
