Hello!
I am making pad thai with tofu for dinner this weekend and the recipe calls for 1 cup of bean sprouts; are these okay to eat? I know that alfalfa sprouts, in general, are not...so I was wondering if the same rule applied...
Assuming I can't eat them, any cooks out there have an ideas for a good substitute?

Are you cooking the sprouts or eating them raw?
I thought the problem with sprouts was just if they're raw but it's been so long since they caused an outbreak of e.coli that I can't remember...
