Help with furniture/decor. PIP

So, I'm thinking I want a couch and two chairs in our new formal living room.  Will it look weird if I have armless chairs?  Would a loveseat look better?  I figured the two chairs would go in front of the window and the couch would go against the wall.

Our couch is a very simple light beige microfiber.  I planned to do splashes of blues and greens. Possibly some red here and there.

I like them both, but I personally would go with #2.  I could never have pieces as light as the first one since we have a bazillion pets and a 3 year old.

Wow, you brave girl with white furniture!!

I love chair #1 and think it would look awesome with your couch.  I also love armless chairs, very chic- and they look less bulky in your room/

I was thinking that the piece on the coffee table was a pretty gutsy choice with small kids!

I like chair #1.  We are rarely in our living room, so the furniture doesn't really get touched/beat up.
