Camera Rec.s

Hi! We need a new digital camera and I need some rec.s.  I want a basic point and click, but would also appreciate a good range and a fast shutter speed as my toddler doesn't like to sit still.  Anyone love their's?  TIA!

    Most point and shoots have shutter lag; can't do much about that unless you get a DSLR. I love my Canon G10, it's a point and shoot w/ some DSLR features. It's a little bigger than a point and shoot, but has a mode that is very similar to continuous shooting, as well as a "sport" and "kids and pets" mode that lets you take great pictures of moving objects.

    Most canons have the sport mode, which I use all the time w/ DD. In general I'm a huge fan of Canon.
