and I have a question...
I'm not afraid of pain... i don't mind IVs at all, childbirth does not scare me.
But I hate shots.
Can someone give me a heads up on how much pain I'm in for - or do they not hurt too badly?
It's crazy that THIS is what i'm afraid of.

Re: getting closer to IVF starting....
Ha. I'm not worried about the shots or the child birth, but I'm worried about the egg retrevial.
I think we will both do just fine and maybe we shouldn't think about it so much and just do it.
They really aren't that bad at all... like a previous poster mentioned, they are more mental than anything! I personally found it easier to give myself the shots, rather than give that control to someone else (my DH)... my MIL gave me one shot (she's a retired nurse), just to give the right side of my bum a break, but never again! I was so nervous the entire time, and I swear it hurt worse when she did it!
Good Luck!
Seriously - how screwed up am I? I AM a nurse and i'm begging DH to do them for me.
