Don't know from experience obviously but I've heard it gets a lot better when they start sitting up on their own. Best of luck, my guy's a major spitter too so I can empathize!
Have you noticed a decrease yet? I think it was around that time (5 months) that Cal's slowed down - maybe even a little earlier. Or later... Eventually, it became non-existent. Now, in the last couple of weeks (so, starting at about 8 mos) we've had a resurgence but nothing close to what it was. Maybe 1-2 spitups a day, usually the first time he nurses after a solid meal, and it's a very, very small amount.
Childhood cancer (DH) + chemo + radiation = 0 sperm.
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).

My DS was a happy spitter and around 6-1/2 months it really dropped off, but in the last 2 weeks the drool has been non-stop. His mouth is like a running faucet - harder to keep his shirt dry than when he was spitting up. We keep a bib on him, but it soaks right through.
Married June '03. DS born Jan '09. DD born Feb '12. No, we didn't choose to be childless for the first 6 years, only the first 3.

My daughter spit-up - A LOT. Honestly, it didn't stop until around 9-10 months.
