Nickname for Alden?

We are pretty sure that we want to use the name Alden (All-Den) Michael but can't think of a nickname. Anyone have any ideas?? Also, what do you think of this name? You can be brutally honest, our parents hate it but we keep going back to it. Thanks for your help!

I'm really not a fan of the name, it's NMS, but if you love it and it works for you go for it!!!  I think  a nickname would be All or Al.  Good luck to you.

The only thing I can think of is Den or Denny.

Why do you need a nickname? It's pretty short as it is.

And for the record, I thought it was "Aiden" on first glance.  You may get that a lot, considering the overuse of Aiden these days.

Alden was my grandfather's name and I love it. I also know a little girl named Alden but I  don't associate it as a girl's name AT ALL! Anyway, people called my grandpa Al, which I didn't get since the 'a' sound completely changed with the nickname.

Denny, Al, Aldie, this name is NMS, but it's not too bad.
