Thanks for all of your kind words.

My doctor wrote back and suggested we do day 3 blood work and an HSG.  I am glad she is willing to move forward - but also concerned that she did not refer me to a reproductive endocrinologist (boy that is hard to spell!) - mostly becuase I have heard if you are referred to Shady Grove (the center I would be referred to)- they make you repeat all the tests and I don't want to pay for them twice.

I'm going to call the center in the morning and see if that really is the case.  If so, I will email my doctor and let her know - to see if we can just start there.

So - at least there is a plan - and we are making progress.

Is there a reason why she didn't refer you to a RE (maybe you said this in your intro and I haven't read it yet)?  My OB/GYN didn't do any testing just suggested that I look into an RE after my first m/c.  I have heard though that some REs will take some tests that OBs run and use them.  Other REs have their own protocol or their labs might use slightly different number or standards so they want things run again.
