PLEASE PLEASE pray

for baby Lucy. She was born early on 6/25 and now has meningitis and today took a turn for the worse. Her Mom was not treated for Strep B during labor and now the baby is sick. I am in tears and I don't even know the Mom or baby Lucy. The mother is the niece of my step-Mom.  

I was not sure where else to post this request so I apologize if this is wrong.

Post this on the preemie board.  The ladies there will be the best support in this situation.

I cried all the way home last night and just wanted to hold my baby. I called my step-Mom and told her to tell the family that if there was anything I could do I am just 10min from the hospital -they are from 2hrs away. Lucy had been life-flighted a couple days ago to the Children's Hospital in our city. I was bawling when I called s-Mom. She couldn't call me back last night because it made her cry and her sister (the Grandmother) was staying at their house. I get an email this morning that Lucy has a stroke yesterday. She is blind and deaf. Her left side is paralyzed. She cannot make a sound and has no brain activity -they are just waiting for God to take her. I am bawlig my eyes out (at work) as I type this. This is so unnecessary! This little baby did not have to have this happen to her. It make me SO thankful every day for the team of doctors I have.
