Okay, maybe annoy is a strong word, but does this bug anyone else? I love looking at my friends kids pictures, I really do, but is is really necessary to send me an album with 100+ pictures including random pictures of people I don't know holding the baby? I don't know, I mean, I hope that people like to look at pictures of my kids, but I never send out an album with more than 20 or so, otherwise it just seems excessive. Am I alone in this and just some crabby lady or do others feel this way as well?
FWIW: yes, I know that I don't have to look at them all, but typically there are some really cute ones mixed in with the 100+ others that I might actually want to print out so I have to look at all of them if I want a current picture for my fridge.
Re: This annoys me
Yeah, it annoys me. I think it's really easy to pick out a few highlights and send those out. I have a blog for family pics so I don't send them, but I rarely put more than 3 or 4 from any event on the blog.
I also hate when people post 150 pictures from their vacation on FB. I don't mind looking at a few pics from people's trips or parties, but not every picture needs to go on FB for public consumption.
I typically send out large albums. I usually send one once a month for family and friends. I take tons of pics each month so I try to trim it down but like previous poster said they are for many different people and it would be a huge PITA to make multiple albums for multiple people.
I use Shutterfly so they can scan the album if they only want to look at certain ones I guess.
The only person I know that does this is my SIL, I know the rest of her family so the other people in the pics don't really bother me. And yes her albums are always at least 100+ pics.
I do agree with the pper who said she doesn't need to see nearly the same shot 10 times or the blurred ones. The ones that annoy me is when she doesn't rotate them.
It doesn't bother me at all, unless they're all the same shot, or they're all blurry, as mentioned before. ?If it's a lot of pictures, I just scroll through them quickly, or if I can, just look at the thumbnails and click on the ones I want to see. ?I certainly don't expect people to send me out a separate email with just the pictures they think I want to see.
These days I just post my pictures to my Flickr page, and whoever wants to can look at them. ?I haven't sent out an email with the link in ages. ?I do have it linked to my FB account so that it will show up in the news feed that I've posted new pictures.?
