Hi guys,
So I've been charting for a year, but I've never ovulated so I never paid too much attention to it. So this is my 2nd cycle on clomid and my first "ovulatory" cycle that's ever been documented. I'm confused though. FF told me I ovulated last Tuesday and gave me crosshairs. I never got a +OPK, but thought maybe I just was using too diluted of urine.
So I'm carrying on my merry way in my first ever real 2ww and then yesterday, out of left field, FF changed my O date to Sunday! 5 days different!!! Ahh!! Does this happen often? My temps continued to rise, but noting drastic to me and their claimed O dip isn't too spectacular?
I'd love to put my chart on here, but I don't know how. So my question.. Does FF often change O dates? I stopped taking the OPK's and basically slacked on Bd'ing since my metformin makes me feel like crap so if the new O date is really correct then my first real cycle and I'm already out since my timing was horrible :-(
Re: Such a charting rookie.. help please?
On the left side there is a link called sharing that you can copy and paste into here... just click on the html link. I think you'll really have to post for anyone to tell you why your date might have changed.
FF does change o dates sometimes. It just depends on you really. Are you checking cm and position? Also, I hear ya on the metformin - I started out feeling great with it and its been crappy for the past 3 months. When are you taking it? It might help to change the time of day that you are taking it.
If I remember correctly, to post your chart:
Sign in to fertility friend and At the top go to home page preview. Copy and paste that link.
Did you put keep recording CM or other signs after it gave you those first initial cross hairs? Sometimes it will do that, especially if your temps correlate. I need to see your chart to get a better idea.
Hi! Congrats on the ovulatory cycle. Yes, it happens more often than you might think. You really need to see the whole chart to tell where the thermal shift is.
Go here:

Choose which charts you want to display on your page. The address you want is under "Your Charting Home Page Web Address:". It should have the word 'home' in it and probably some random numbers. Copy that URL and paste it here.
Also, if you'd like to put a link in your sig, go here:

Scroll down to the signature field. Copy and paste this, replacing URL with the URL you found with the above directions. Leave the quotes:

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
Fertility Friend will usually confirm ovulation when you've had three consecutive temperatures that are all higher than the previous six. Without looking at your chart, it's hard to say why they changed crosshairs, but yes, that can happen based on your temperature pattern. And I have found that Clomid messes with my temperatures, which can make charting even more frustrating.
I would call the doctor who prescribed the clomid and ask to be monitored next cycle. Say you used OPK's with no +, and that you need more reliable information to time intercourse. They should be providing ultrasounds to see how your follicles and lining are responding to the medication. You may also want to check what type of insurance coverage you have for procedures relating to IF so you're not shocked by a big bill later.
You guys are fabulous with the instructions. I was so depressed yesterday when it changed, but I have to remember that this is still progress regardless. Or at least try to remember that so I don't curl up into a ball and cry for a week.
So if this works, I think here's the link.

I didn't record the 50 million - opk's since it's just one more box to click. I figured I'd record if I ever got a + which has never happenned. I also don't check my cm. I used to, but after a year of nothing changing, I got too depressed to keep doing it. Now that I see their might be hope I'm sure I'll get back into it next cycle.
My insurance doesn't cover IF treatments at all and my GYN has been kind enough to code limited monitoring to amenhorrea treatment. So she does an ultrasound and b/w before I start each clomid cycle, but I don't get anything futher than that.
I know it's a calculated risk, but it's one I'd been willing to take. I'm going back in tomorrow and plan to discuss either more monitoring OOP or take the step and get an RE referral since the calculated risk is becoming more scary to me.
By just going with temps, I will agree with CD16, with a coverline of 97.6. Since the default for FF is the "Advanced" setting, it tends to change O dates. Put it on FAM setting for a more accurate result.
Agree with PPs, get monitored next cycle and you may not even have to temp. Also with cm, you want to record to most fertile type of mucus from the day. Wipe with a folded piece of tissue both before and after using the bathroom.

This is so cool. Who knew that FF was so smart! So, I changed it to the FAM and it reverted back to CD16.
Now I'm frustrated with myself that I gave up on the CM and regular OPK thing. I just didn't expect any of this to work!
Sorry in advanced to my wonderful employer for the complete lack of productivity this morning!
