dd and "no!"

dd just started learned how to say and use "no" appropriately and i think it's just so cute!!

"dd, do you want to brush your teeth now?" "no, no, no!!!!" (runs away)

"dd,  can i have a kiss?" "NO!" (pushes me away)

i can't help but crack up every time she says no to something. Smile

Re: dd and "no!"

  • Stifle those giggles of yours!  It is cute/hilarious, but don't encourage her too much, lol.  Or you'll be in trouble.  DH was a bit too amused at the 'nos' and DD started to really overdo it.  Was tough to bust her out of it!

Ditto this.  Many is the time DH and I have had to stifle laughter through some toddler negativity that was deadly serious to them and cute as he!! to us!  The worst was if DH and I actually looked at each other and saw that the other person was also trying not to crack up!  A little positive reinforcement about this trait can really cause discipline problems down the road, though!
