goodness I hope so. I normally go in with a dip pretty much made, stick it in the microwave for 5 min or so then they can snack on it while we go through the products(knives, pots, pans, ect) while they are looking at all this I either do a microwave choc cake, or a really easy pizza. This is the norm but the host can request anything and I will cook it.
That's neat that you cook right then and there. I'd like that.
I'm guessing PC sells funky gadgets. Demos are always good in that case. Yeah, I can see it's a lemon zester. But let's see it in action! That would get me more excited.
But yeah, beyond that, I do think it's just the economy and time of year. Hang in there!

And if I need anything I now know where to come. GL!
This exactly!! I think demos are awesome and thats how come Im not allowed to watch INFOMERICALS!! lol How about a few little giveaways?? I remember when my mom did tupperware they had freebies the guests could win or whatever to get people in the mood. Never been to pampered chef either....
Everyone that purchases gets put in for some cool prize to increase sales.
Focus on the things they will use every day. Show them how your products can be used everyday. How your products will get dinner out quicker so they can spend more time doing what they want.
And find a great photographer who's just starting. Work out a deal where you can give your hostesses a photo session with a free 8x10. I'm sure you can get someone who will do this for free just by you including their card in what you hand out.
All the ones that I have been too they make one of those wreaths or rings on the stoneware. Do you know what I am talking about? The ones that you use cresent rolls and put something in them and roll them up. They can look fancy or it is a quick full meal because meat, veggie and bread is all rolled up. Good for moms I think. I like the taco meat one and I have also tried the chicken/brocolli one. Yum!
This shows a lot of products too. I don't know all the "official" names, but since you are familiar hopefully you know what I am talking about. You use the stoneware, you can use the microwave thing to cook the hamburger meat and drain it and moms will love that too. So easy...I did it last night with hamburger meat straight from the freezer! You can use the scoop to put the hamburger meat on the cresent rolls, etc.
You can also give small things away. Like I LOVE those $0.75 knives and the orange peeler! Offer a discount if they buy x amount or if they bring a friend to the party that wasn't invited.
Re: I need some ideas on how to spice thing up
I've never been to a PC party. What's the usual drill? I'm sure there's food involved, which is a good thing.
Also, the economy sucks so that could be contributing. Also, it's summer. Lots of things slow down. (But will pick up again for Xmas.)
