Newbie! Provera and Clomid, oh my...

Hi all!  I just finished my 10 days of 10mg/day of Provera to bring on AF.  AF came, 36 hours later as promised and is SUPER light.  I am suppossed to start Clomid on CD 3 and don't even know what to do, I cannot even tell if 1 day of AF registers as CD 1.  I mean, I know it does, but today (CD 2) I am just spotting.  Anyone ever been in this boat?  Thanks, and best of luck to you all!

Hmmmm... I'm not sure. I would call the RE to check if I were you. Good luck!

Hello and welcome! I have found this board to be really supportive. I don't have much insight on the CD question because I am still on Provera (day 6 of 14, first round) and having had AF since Feb. Good luck in the upcoming months!!

If day 1 was red flow then count it as CD1, if you've only been spotting then wait for the first day of red flow

this cycle started super light for me...and I counted the first day of light bleeding as day one and started clomid five days later (the same day that i started some really heavy bleeding)...but FWIW, i am at CD 17 and still haven't ovulated...so...just be prepared for a longer wait.  I went in for monitoring today and it WILL happen in the next few days, so i didn't mess anything up by starting counting at the light bleeding.

My Dr. said that if your full flow is after 12 pm CD 1 is the first day you have a flow, not just spotting

If you aren't getting AF because you don't ovulate, often a Provera induced period is light. All of my provera cycles were light since I wasn't ovulating and thus not growing a lining to shed . I always waited to see if they'd increase in flow, but I'd have been hard pressed to count one day as light from all of them.

I'd first call your RE/doc and get their opinion, but if by CD 3 it hasn't gotten heavier then it just might not.
