Anyone give Pedia-lax to their LO?

Pedi said we could give him Miralax if we felt we needed to for constipation but then I saw a pedi version right next to it and wasn't sure what the difference was. According to their website it's more effective and a better choice for little ones. I know it says it's for 2+ years, but our Pedi is fine with a 1/4 dose because he strains so hard to go and he now has a small tear.

  • OMGoodness!  Poor Cam!  :(  I'm sorry he's having so much trouble.  I haven't tried it but it sounds like it would make sense to give him that vs. Miralax.  We usually do a few feedings of prunes when Lil gets stopped up.  I hope he feels better soon!

My boy is immune to prunes, and juice. I guess that is a good thing for me, but bad for him LOL. We've done only prunes as his solids for 3 days and nothing out of the ordinary. I had braced myself for the mother of all blow-outs, but nada. I called the advice nurse to ask about dosage for pedialax so we'll see what she says but until then I wait for the prunes to make an appearance. Wow, that was gross.

  • We've used it as early as 1 month.  Still do it on occasion.  we just use 1/4-1/2.  Works like a charm.
