MoM's to toddlers????

Do you routinely give your children time apart from one another?  If so when, how, how often?  Thanks I am really struggling with my two year old boys.  They are draining the life out of me and fighting with each other so I am wondering if they would benefit from a time (daily) to play on their own.  I am just curious about the logistics of it all.

I don't want to discourage others with this post.  All in all this age is much easier BUT you still have bad days and challenges. ;)

TIA

  • Ditto MrsLee about separate play times during the day w/o DH home, it would be impossible for me.  I have taken out 1 when running errands.  It provides one on one time for both of us and is much easier than dragging two along.

  • My girls play for a little while after their nap in their crib.  For them it's a time they can  look at books or have toys all to themself without having someone else grabbing it, or jumping on them.  We don't usually separate them during the day though.

  • We give the girls a couple hours of seperate time on Sundays.  DH takes one of the girls to church with him and I take the other one grocery shopping.  We'll occassionally split them up on other occassions as they come up.  It's nice to have a little one on one time with them and, wow, is it so much easier to go grocery shopping with just one toddler!  =)
