How often do you go through your DC toys?

I have been going through DD toys today and pieceing things back together and pulling stuff that is destroyed or missing pieces.

I'm guessing I need to do it more and then I won't have to pitch as much stuff.

Probably every 5-6 months.  At this age she outgrows things fast so I get rid of whatever I can.  I have to be stealth-like because if she is around she will suddenly love what ever I try to toss or give away.

And I must say, my dh spoils her something awful so she accumulates a whole lot of stuff in that timeframe.

Not as often as I should. A friend of mine used to go through her kids toys every quarter. At Christmas, Spring Break, start of summer break, and right after school starts. The kids came to expect it and it really kept things under control.

Never.  I desperately need to. I just put toys he doesn't play with in his room since he doesn't play in there.  We are moving his bedroom to one of the other bedrooms and putting the nursery in his current room.  I'll go through everything then.  I'm terrible!
