What's the point of Clomid in IVF?

I've heard it used in injectible/iui's but we didn't use Clomid for any of our inject/iui's.  I'm just wondering why for IVF.  I'm also doing Follistim, Repronex, and Ganirelix (antagonist).

    THe only time I've heard of Clomid with IVF is for a mini-IVF cycle.
