NEW YORK ? ABC is adding Kate Gosselin to the list of guest co-hosts for "The View."

Celebrity mom Gosselin will be subbing for regular "View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck on Sept. 14 and 15. Hasselbeck is on maternity leave after giving birth to her third child, Isaiah, earlier this month.

I'm sure her going on The View is in the best interest of the kids, because everything she does is for the kids.

I can't watch that show.  It's nothing but a bunch of women yelling over each other or at each other.

What exactly qualifies her to be a talk show host?  Not that the rest of them are what I would call qualified, but really.

I'm convinved this is Kate's "master plan." The "reality" show has basically run its course, so she wants some kind of talk show gig.

Too bad Elisabeth isn't going to be there -- I can imagine she and Kate wouldn't agree on much.
