Hi! I am looking at getting some boots for the boys (they just usually hike in their sneakers) but we are going up to the White Mtns and I want to make sure they are fitted with the right boots.
Where do you get you DDs boots? I know when I get new boots I have to try on eleventy billion pais and really try them out on ramps.
Thanks for your help!
Re: HikerBeth- Hiking boots question
Ugh, I am a terrible person to ask. I found some boots at a consignment sale last year that DD used last summer, but has outgrown. She's just been hiking in her sneakers this summer.
Our trails are much less rocky than the Whites so I haven't worried about it.
I just didn't want to buy boots that she'd outgrow fast when sneakers were o.k.
have you checked L.L. Bean? They might have something decent for kids and they're usually pretty reasonably priced. Maybe stop in at REI and see their selection (and try them on) and then go scour the internet for better deals.
Sorry I don't have a better answer.
