Big activity for my day off: potty training. Woo-hoo!

At least it's a rainy day and good day to stay inside. DD has been consistently using the potty every day at daycare, but only goes right before bed and then sporadically at home. I'm using the boot camp technique since I have the rest of the week off and the time to do this. DD keeps asking for a pull-up and I'm saying no way (in nice words). She's running around in a t-shirt and tutu at the moment- hopefully we won't have to find out how absorbent that tutu is if there's an accident, lol.

The boot-camp instructions they handed out at daycare said this doesn't take more than 3 days to work and then we keep underwear off as well. Apparently it's worked for a couple of kids in the room. Has this worked for anyone else?

  • DS went naked waist down for a couple days and now we are potty trained.  He does have an occasional accident.  When he has his diaper on for sleeping he still asks to use the potty.  It only took us a week.

  • Sounds good to me! Glad to hear it's working. She's only gone once today and that sheet says not to leave the house until DC has gone 10 x's on the potty. Hmmmm. I would like to at least leave the house occasionally over the next few days, lol.

  • DS goes 10x in one morning!!  He drinks so much!!  I have tried to limit it but he steals DDs and the boy I watch cups and drinks those!  We went out last weekend and were pretty successful in underwear.  I am going to get one of those cheap pottys to keep in the car just in case
