I saw in a post that you're reading the Suki Stackhouse (sp?) books.  Do you watch True Blood on HBO?  If so, is the series similar to the books?  (sometimes they can be similar and sometimes you think, where did they get that from...)

DH and I love this show and I was wondering if the books were good...  Are they?

I do watch True Blood! I'm on the 2nd book right now and it's starting to be a departure from the show. Lafayette just died in the book - and he's alive in the show. The first book (and I believe all of them) focus more on Sookie and less on the other characters.

The books are really quick, easy reads. I probably wouldn't read them w/o the show because I lke a more challenging read, but they are definitely fun and easy. But it's neat to read the book while watching the show b/c you understand a lot of the background info that's not in the book.
