What to cook for new parents?

Neighbors just had a baby on Friday.  I like the idea of cooking them dinner and taking it over when we go to visit the baby.  Any ideas?

I was thinking of lasagna but I am open to other ideas as well.  Something easy...it's hard to find time to cook with a 21 month old hanging on my legs.  Big Smile

  • I got 1001 tomato/pasta dishes, which we froze and ate for months.

My friends brought a great chicken, wild rice, broccoli dish and salad in a bag. that was my fav.

  • chili

  • How about Pioneer Woman's Chicken Spaghetti?

  • I think anything is good that's filling and put into individual portions to be frozen, so they don't have to thaw an entire pan of something. Ditto to lasagna and chicken dishes- chicken pot pie is always good as well. I know it's summer, but a lot of those hearty dishes are still good when you're exhausted.

  • I brought good friends some baked chicken, a zucchini pasta salad, regular salad and some dessert. They said they liked the chicken best.
