21 day cycle

Hello Ladies,

I plan on fully charting this next cycle. i just started temping yesterday to get myself into the habit beforehand.  Anyway, before I got on BCP many many years ago, I used to get AF almost every other week, which was in part the reason to go on BCP in the first place.  Since I got off at the end of June 09, AF is having some trouble getting settled. I had some spotting yesterday and today, so I thought.  Its a little more than spotting now and I think AF is here to screw up my day and regress me back to my teenage years. Is anyone else a 21 day cycler?  Just  curious as to  what i can expect in terms of ovulation, etc. I know that everyone is different in their patterns, but it just seems like its such a short amount of time to cram everything in!  I'm excited to begin charting and i'm sure I will learn a ton!

    you will just have to see what happens with your chart. you could just O really early but you also might have a short lp which could make it more difficult for you to get pg... not trying to scare you, though.

    i think once you have a chart or two you'll have a much better idea of when you're fertile, etc. good luck!

    My cycle has been 24 or 25 days with a 9 day LP.  I was on BCP for 10 years for the same reason, AF all the time.  I've only been charting for 3 months now so hopefully it gets better.  FF says I'm ovulating so that's good I guess.  Good luck!

    charting will help, but since you went on bcp to help with irregular cycles and now you're going to be TTC, this is something I'd call the doctor about and just see what they say. I think it's probably safe to say you might have a short lp or progrestrone issues (spotting can be a sign) both of which may cause problems with impantation. but I'd see if your doctor has any concerns and if not, go for it!
