I REALLY want the three cheese nachos from Qdoba, but they use queso cheese. Is this a soft cheese that I need to avoid, or is it ok to eat? Thanks!

a) a restaurant like that will never serve an unpasteurized cheese. You're fine.

b) even if they did, it's heated so high that it's to the point of being melted cheese. Again, you're fine.

The only Mexican place I'd worry about the soft cheese at is a real taqueria or a hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. ?I am sure that a chain restaurant like Qdoba will be using pasteurized cheese. ?If you're that concerned, just ask. ?I'm sure they can either check the packaging or know the answer for you. ?You can't be the first pregnant woman to eat these nachos!

I wouldn't be too worried....I have been eating Qdoba most of my pg and enjoy the queso sooooo much.
