As some of you know, I took 4 HPT over the weekend and had 4 faint positives (althought my 4th was darker than the first 3). Went for test and blood work yesterday at OBGYN. Here is my horror story...
Pee in a cup, midwife comes in and tells me it's negative. What?!? I tell her about my 4 BFPs. She says "hold on let me run another test." Comes back in a few minutes later to tell me when they were trying to do a 2nd test, they spill the cup of urine all over the floor!!! AND there's a test on the counter showing a faint positive but she's not sure if it's mine. WHat?!?! She goes back out because I made her check and see if anyone else did a pregnancy test and sure enough she comes back in saying "you're pregnant! you're pregnant!" They were able to run 3 tests with left over urine (i guess?) and I made her show me all 3. I burst into tears because i was thrilled and because she had just put me through hell. So I strongly urged to get blood work done.
My LMP was 7/22 and my levels came back today at 11!!!!! I am thinking they should be higher since i should be about 4 weeks along. I am freaking out. I have to go again tomorrow. I can't stop crying and I don't know what to think. I need your advice, PLEASE!
Re: Recent BFP, low HCG level, worried, need advice
I am sorry, honey.
I know there are some girls on SAIF that have had low beta success stories.
I hope that your beta rises for you tomorrow.
GL!
That is a nightmare... you think they could be more careful back there. Sheesh.
The beta is low, but what is the most important is that it doubles in 48 hours. Good luck with the next beta.
