I find that quick trips don't require such a big bag anymore but for day/longer trips I need a suitcase. DD just can't seem to stay clean for an hour. I may break out the bigger bag.
Done. Then again, I don't really care if she's messy. I only change her if she peed her pants or I let her play in a splashpad that I wasn't prepared for. Jelly on her shirt? Nope, she's wearing it home.
I switched back to regular purses when he was about a year and a half. All I need to bring now are 2 diapers, wipes, and a baggie with band-aids/neosporin, etc. I keep sunscreen, extra toys, and bottles of water in his stroller at all times. When he starts PTing I will leave the extra clothes in his stroller as well - no way am i going back to a diaper bag.

Re: Diaper bag getting bigger or smaller as DC get older?
Diaper bag? What diaper bag?
1 change of clothes in a quart size baggie
1 lunch box for long trips.
