What's the worst thing YOU'VE done to your LO (accidently, of course)?

We were laying down BF and I was texting above her head, well somehow I ended up dropping the phone right on her head. She cried for a min and I vowed never to text and BF. LOL

I think it has to be my oldest.  At her 6mo appt.

She was sitting on the exam table and I was standing in front of her.  Next thing I know, she's using her legs to spring forward.  She veered left.  I grabbed her arm and had to make a split second decision between letting her hit the floor or risking ripping her arm out of the socket.  

I let go.  She hit the floor with a sickening TWAP that only a naked baby can make on a tile floor.  

I picked her up right away and checked her out.  She wasn't crying....I wondered if that was good or bad.  The doctor came in and I shoved her into her arms and said, "She fell!"  The doctor examined her and said she was fine.  

It won't be the last time she falls, she told me.  

Maybe not, but this happened with me standing RIGHT THERE.  I was right in front of her.

Since then, she's fallen into a table and busted a lip and gotten a black eye.  But, all of that was while she was running around - typical stuff.  Falling off a table with me right there....I still have a hard time with that one because it makes you realize that even being right there can't protect them from every single thing.

Mrs._Smith:

This morning, she was sleeping next to me and I had a bad dream (dreamt I was punching someone).  I woke up because I felt something hit the back of my hand and woke up to her crying.  I accidentally hit her on the head!  I felt so bad!  I had DH check her pupils to make sure I didn't cause any brain damage.  I think she was more startled than hurt.

I've done this too..and cut him with my engagement ring..and cut the nails too close..not to mention days between baths at least once  Then there's the 12 mosquito bites he got on his face the other week
