i went to my re today b/c it's 5 weeks past my d&c and no period. he took blood and said if everything checks out i would start provera tomorrow and start injectibles on cd3. well we have a trip to bermuda planned 9/10-9/14. the nurse who was giving me the injectables "class" said not to worry if my cd 3 happens when we are away, that we could just wait until next cycle.

i am going to ask my dr tomorrow if it is ok if i hold off on taking the provera so that there is no chance cd3 will fall when we are away. do any of you know of a reason this would not be a good idea? and wwyd in this situation?

I wouldn't even ask the RE.  I would just postpone taking the meds for a few days. it can take up to 14 days after your last pill for AF to start so your RE won't question why it took a little longer.

I am kinda in the same situation.  Although, we aren't going out of the country.  I have a back up plan to have my cd3 sono if it falls that way when we are out of town.  But I agree with previous post... if you delay a while then you may be ok while you are gone.  But you have to be prepared that you MIGHT start while you are out of town.  Another thing to think about, all of my doctors have told me that as long as you get your sono in that 3-5 day time frame you are fine.   So maybe you can try and time it so that it works for you.  I would just say be prepared that you might be out depending on when you start.

it's not just for a sonogram, it's to begin an injectible cycle, so i would prefer to not have to wait another cycle to start.
