Has anyone delivered at either of these hospitals? What was your experience like? Pros and Cons. Getting ready to choose an OBGYN as well as our delivery hospital but would love some feedback from real people. Thanks!
Hi there, I didn't give birth at either places but my friend has at Mission Hospital with both her boys. She loved it, she said they take good care of you. hth.
Really can't go wrong with either. I delivered both of mine at Mission and they are great. I like the idea of the Choc being there. I have several friends who have delivered at both and all have been good experiences.
I delivered at Hoag (awesome experience btw), but I've heard great things about Saddleback and Mission. I've heard that Saddleback has one of the best NICUs around, and Mission has the added bonus of having CHOC there, so that's also a plus.
I delivered at Saddleback in May and had a wonderful experience. My nurse Misty was amazing and she was with us the majority of the time as we were one of her only patients that day which was great. The room was nice and big to accomidate visitors. My sisters delivered at Hoag and had good experiences. I think they are better with help breastfeeding right away and really encouraging you, but as long as you tell your nurse no bottles/pacifiers they will listen to you. I ended up having preeclampsia at the end so was induced and had many visits to the labor ward up until induction and each experience was great as they kept me informed and calm throughout all the craziness. Good luck!

I am having my first baby at Saddleback, and I have heard nothing but great things from friends and co-workers that have delivered there.
Either way, I think you will be in good hands!!
