2nd Trimester

The worst Public Transportation Story Ever.....

I live in NYC.  I was going home after getting a mani/pedi after work.  I was one of last people to board the bus and so most seats were taken.  However, the first 3 disabled seats were not occupied by ppl.  A man had placed his grocery bags on each of the three seats.  So I asked him nicely: Excuse me are these yours sir?  He pretends to not hear me.

Now, this wasn't an old man by any means...maybe 45-48 yrs old.  I thought maybe these aren't his bags.  So I ask the bus driver and he tells me they are his.  So I proceed to move one of the bags from the 1st seat and he jumps up and says: All you needed to do was ask!

It was 8:30pm, I was coming home from work, and it's pretty obvious I'm PG.  I screamed on him like he had lost his damn mind.  And then he had the nerve to try to answer me back.  I told him, you either move it or I'm throwing it on the floor and that I'd F**k him up, pregnant belly and all.

He did move the bags and I sat down and enjoyed the rest of my ride home.

Can you believe the GALL of ppl?

Re: The worst Public Transportation Story Ever.....

  • Totally rude of him not to move his bags and to ignore you. But also kinda out there for you to threaten to f--k him up. I lived in NYC for two years (in brooklyn too!), but never felt the need to threaten bodily injury.

Glad you got your seat ;)

  • I left out most of the back and forth smart crap he was saying out his mouth.  Thus the " F**K" him up comment...lol.
  • I was with a friend who was pregnant at a sports bar once and we were watching the hockey game on the tv up at the bar with some friends (woot go rangers! ::don't hate!::) She got up to go to the bathroom and left her jacket on the chair with her purse. as soon as she did a guy walked over took her stuff off and took the chair. some people are just azzholes!

  • AMAZING! I live in NYC as well and I cannot believe the nerve of some people. I was actually on crutches for the begginning of my pregnancy w/an injury and I can't tell you how many times  a taxi was stollen from me, etc.
