IVF long lupron protocol ladies... question

so in my med box, i only had one teeny tiny vial of lupron.      and i'll be on 10units for about 2 weeks, and then that drops to 5 units when we start stims.     the nurse assures me that the one little vial will last the whole cycle, but we're going to be OOT when we start stims and i am terrified that i'll run out of lupron while we're OOT and i won't be able to get more.     does that one vial really last?   or should i order up a refill to take with us, just in case?

    You'll be fine.  I got the 2 week kit (which is just the one small bottle) was on the same dose as you and had some left over.  I was worried when I first saw it.  But, the needles are teeny tiny and 10 units isn't much....5 units is practically nothing!

    It looks small but there is a lot in there, I never needed a refill.
    A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
    After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!

    One vial holds 2.8 ml.  So, if you only do 10 units that's 28 shots.  It's deceptive...

    I thought the same thing, freaked out, and ordered another vial.  I never even used the whole first vial.  One will be enough, especially if they take you down from 10cc to 5 cc.

    As the others said, you should be fine.  I had a 20 unit dose for ten days and then dropped to 5 units during stims and still am using the same small bottle.  Hope your cycle goes well :)

    thanks for the reassurance everyone!    my nurse is actually very smart and funny, and i should probably learn to trust her, but that vial is SO small!    i'm glad i'm not the only one that freaked out though.   :-)    thanks!

    you wont run out- you inject such a tiny amount. I had the 14 day kit and it lasted through my entire cycle and I had some left over afterwards!

    Ditto the p.p.'s Yup it'll last. I even have leftovers after my last long lupron protocol.
