Sandwich Blasphemy!

So I have been doing WW on-line (although not being terribly disciplined).  I figured I might as well lose some of the weight I packed on during the treatment cycles while on a forced break.  We were out of town this weekend and I didn't track, although I did make a concious effort to eat somewhat healthy.  Still, even one fruit drink a day adds up :).

So we grabbed dinner last night at Crisper's.  It's a soup/sandwich place owned by Publix, for those of you who aren't familiar.  I grabbed the southwest turkey sandwich and baked chips.  It had cheese and some salad dressing, so I knew it wasn't great, but I could not fathom another salad.  I checked the nutrional info this morning - 22 points!  That's what I get for a WHOLE day.  It was 930 calories and 46 grams of fat.  But not to worry- 0 trans fat.

Yikes!  It's no wonder I am pudgy these days :(.

  • I started calorie counting several weeks ago and am absolutely astonished by how horrible things really are at restaurants.  Almost everything I thought was a healthier option really isn't.  Don't eat at PH Chang's....you will be so sick after reading the nutritional information.

  • It is amazing, isn't it!

Here in certain parts of NY, restaurants are required to put the nutritional info on ALL menus.  It is really eye-opening!

We bought the book- Eat This Not That a few weeks ago ... it is amazing how much is hidden in "healthy" meals!
