post hysteroscopy ?

How long after your surgery did you have bleeding?

Mine has never been heavy but I've been spotting for a week and a half now. It seems like it's never going to end and it scares me that this means there is new scar tissue forming which will cause more problems.

Re: post hysteroscopy ?

  • sheesh. If it's not one thing it's another! I'm really not sure - I always felt like I bled longer than I should have. Maybe check with our friendly nurses? I'll send "no scar tissue" vibes!!

  • My bleeding lasted a couple days, then sort of went away, and then AF came. I did call my dr when it continued, and hee said because it was so close to the start of my cycle it probably was AF, but to keep an eye on things. I call my dr office all the time.....so you might want to do that for peace of mind.
  • I lightly bled for a total of 3 days for both hysteroscopes...Then when my ballons came out i bled much heavier for a week or so..i think the balloons were holding all the blood inside..GL! I pray that you do NOT have any readhesions
  • I barely bled at all. I had some light bleeding and spotting the day of surgery and the day or maybe two days after.
  • Was yours operative? I bled for, seriously, three weeks after I had a septum resected. I was about to go insane. It started as spotting, then got heavier and heavier until I had a full-blown period... while on estradiol! Then I took provera, and got to bleed again in a week and a half. Charming. I attribute this to he fact that I was almost done with a BCP pack when I had the hysteroscopy and since they found a problem, they took me off the BCP and put me on estradiol. My body does not like having its hormones messed with. I called my nurse and whined at her, but she told me it was normal.

The one I just had last week, I spotted for maybe 2 days and had slightly singed CM for a few more, no problem.
