Both hips are now warm, swollen and red. It hurts to walk or sit. My RN says to try to find another place to inject and call back if it gets worse. Did any of you experience this? Also, where the h*ll am I supposed to inject now? TIA
Ouch, I am sorry that looks very painful. I never had that bad of a reaction. Just a sore spot. DH did switch back and forth on different cheeks.

Not sure what to do now. Sad and lost.
Ack that looks painful! No, I haven't actually had a reaction like that... just a sore muscle ache and even that wasn't that bad. I ice mine down really well before injection and then hot pad afterward and it seems to help.
I have heard of people being allergic to the oil. Maybe someone with that experience could share?

I did PIO in the butt, and both cheeks look like your pix. I recently asked the nurse about it (although I'm not currently getting the shots but will soon) and she didn't really react much. She suggested using a heating pad after, rubbing it vigorously and stretching. I thought I did those things last time and it didn't help. Then she just said call us when you start the shots and if it does it again. Well duh... I'm sure it will happen again if it happened last time.
Anyway, she also mentioned they have progesterone in olive oil as an option.
Good luck, hope it gets better!!
