clomid/femara + injectibles?

I respond to both clomid and femara but my lining is on the thin side...my current RE is not a proponent of estrace, estrogen patches or viagra to thicken the lining...she suggested that I move straight on to injectibles...

i've seen some people do clomid or femara + injectibles? How does this work? do you use a couple shots of injectibles at the end just to thicken the lining and get mature follies?

also when you are on clomid/femara - do you take anything with it? I know femara is not supposed to thin the lining but I think it does for me (my period is much lighter and shorter than normal)....

    Well, I did femara followed by 3 to 4 days of repronex. Unfortunately for me the repronex was counter productive. I needed straight fsh, and repronex is fsh+lh. I, however didn't repond all that great to femara. I'm sorry I'm not much help. :( gl tho!

    Hope you dont mind me posting...

    The cycle that worked for me was my first clomid + injectable IUI. I took clomid CD 3-7, and on days 4, 6, and 8 I took 75 units of follistim. The idea was to give the follies an extra little "boost". My lining was also the thickest this cycle, but I never had lining issues on clomid alone, it just happend to be higher/better this cycle thatn any other. I also triggered a lot sooner than on clomid alone, CD 11 with IUI on CD 13 opposed to CD 16,17,or 18 on just clomid.

    Anyways, my RE thought it was a good idea to try this combo before going to straight injectable because I did respond to clomid.

    I actually respond very well to clomid - 2 follies on 50mg the first time by cd 13 trigger on cd 14 (our bfp cycle)

    50 mg clomid 1 follie on cd 12, trigger cd 12 the second time

    this is why I am wondering if we should stay with clomid plus a boost
