second try with clomid--still no luck

so my second five-day course of clomid (this time at 37 mg, last time we did 25 mg) didn't work . . . i just got my CD14 u/s and had no mature follies, just several small ones. the RE wants me to come in friday--he says there's about a 50/50 chance that a couple of them will take off between now and then. i'm not getting my hopes up, though.

i'm discouraged but trying to focus on the fact that this means i can have alcohol this weekend.

why such a small increase in your dosage?    i'm used to seeing people do 25mg and then jump to 50mg?      do you know what your dosage will be next cycle if this one doesn't work?

i'm sorry about the disappointing u/s results!!!    hopefully you'll find the right dosage soon!

the RE was reluctant to jump to 50 mg because we did a cycle a long time ago where he tried 50 mg and i had EIGHT follicles. so he was worried i'd get too many follies and we'd have to cancel the cycle. i'm sure we'll increase it to 50 now, though.

Hi there. Sorry to hear about your unsuccessful go with clomid but hopefully some will take off. If not, yes, have a few drinks. It always makes me feel better.
