Emerson vs. Mount Auburn

Anyone prefer one over the other?  I have heard very negative and very positive on Mount Auburn, which is the hospital my OB is affiliate with.  I'm not in love with my OB so I think now would be the time to switch.  Emerson is closer to me, but I haven't heard anything either way.  From previous posts it looks like everyone seems to like the OBs in the Concord area.  Any info would be helpful. TIA.

I don't know anything about Mount Auburn, but I can rave about Emerson. It's like the country club of hospitals haha, I've gone there all my life.

Of course I don't know about their birthing center first hand, but I did get a cd info thing from them in the mail a few months back because it is new. It looks really nice, I definitely plan to go there. If you go on their website I think you can see all the same stuff that came on the cd.

Run far away from Mt Auburn! My experience at Emerson was brief but it was good. A friend of mine lost a baby at Mt Auburn due to hospital negligence, and now is in a lengthy legal battle.

I delivered at Emerson June 2008. I had an awesome experience and loved it there. My daughter needed special care and had to stay in the special care nursery and the nurses were awesome to her and me.  The birthing center was brand new when I was there.  I will be a returning customer if we have another baby! I don't know anything about Mt.Auburn, but I just wanted to share my experience with you.

Thanks Ladies.  I actually made an appointment with Dr. Kramer.  I asked around some more and the ladies I know lover her.  I have heard great things about Dr. Rubin as well, but his office does not accept my insurance, bummer.  I'm also really comfortable with Emerson now.

My SIL delivered at Emerson.  She had a great time there.  Both her and my BIL had nothing but compliments for the nurses and doctors they worked with. They were very comfortable with their suite too.

I birthed my first at Mt. Auburn with their midwife practice and it was a good experience.
